The Spruce system uses Weather Balance and Evapotranspiration to calculate when and how much to water each day. These calculations are based on the settings entered and the weather provided.

You may fine tune the settings to impact and adjust the schedule with the following settings. There is also the option to enter a water schedule directly with the Fixed mode or with a Basic Schedule.

Increase Watering Duration

These settings will increase how much water the schedule calculates is needed:

• Modify the Watering per Day setting. Increasing this value will increase the watering requirement for the zone, and the system will scale up all calculations for the zone.
• Adjust Custom Evapotranspiration Coefficients

Decrease Watering Duration

These settings will decrease how much water the schedule calculates is needed:

• Modify the Watering per Day setting. Decreasing this value will reduce the watering requirement for the zone, and the system will scale down all calculations for the zone.
• Adjust Custom Evapotranspiration Coefficients

Increase Watering Frequency

These settings will increase the number of days per week in the calculated schedule:

• Change the Connected Schedule Zone mode to Weather Balance – Vary Time. The system will water on the selected days and adjust the watering time to fit.
