Factory Reset and add new account

This method clears all settings and allows a new owner to start from scratch. In this method the previous owner does not need to do anything as the new owner will factory reset the controller and start from the beginning to add the controller to a new account.

The new owner will perform the following steps:

1. Download and install the Spruce App
2. Register for an account
3. Factory Reset the controller
4. Login to the app and add the controller to your account
5. Follow the setup steps

Retain settings and update account information

This is a good option if you have contact with the new owner and can coordinate some basic information with them. The current owner will start with the following steps:

1. Confirm the username and email address the new owner would like to use
2. Login to the app
3. Go to Account -> About You
4. Change the email address to the new owners email address
5. Change the username to the new username
6. Change the name
7. Press Update Profile

The new owner will now perform the following steps:

1. Download and install the Spruce App
2. At login, select Forgot Password
3. Enter the email address provided to the previous owner where you will receive a temporary password
4. Login to the app with the username and temporary password
5. Go to Account -> About You to update your profile
6. Go to Update Password to update password

The new owner will now connect the controller to the new Wifi access point:

1. Go to the Modify Wireless connection option
2. Forget all networks
3. Add the new network
